How to Enable Gmail Forwarding & Import the Filters

When this process is complete, mails sent from Treasury Advice will automatically forward to unattended-automation@amitrading.co.za. You will need a phone with your google account linked to complete this process.

Open your Gmail account on a computer in an internet browser.

Step 1 - Open Gmail Account Settings

Select the settings (gear) icon and select “See all settings”.



Step 2 - Enable Forwarding

Select "Forwarding and POP/IMAP"

Step 3 - Add Forwarding Address

-      Select "Add a forwarding address"
 -    Add unattended-automation@amitrading.co.za
-      Click "next" 


Step 4 - Google verification

Google will ask you to verify your identity, follow the steps as shown by Google. Find more info here
Once you've verified your identity, click proceed.

Step 5 - Confirmation Email

Through automation, AMI Trading will confirm your request from their side. You will then receive an email to complete the rest of the steps in this toolkit. 

Step 6 - Confirm forwarding is disabled

The newly added forwarding address will be used via email filters only. Make sure "Disable forwarding" is selected.

Please make sure to SAVE CHANGES at the bottoms of the setting page. This does not happen automatically.

Step 7 - Filters and blocked addresses

Select the "Filters and blocked addresses" from the settings menu.

Step 8 - Import Filters

Import the  ami_trading_filters.txt file that is attached to this article (You can find it at the bottoms of this page). Or you can download them with this link: https://amitrading-gmail-filter.co.za 
      a)      Import Filters
      b)      Choose file
      c)      Open file


Step 9 - Create Filters

Approve the filters by selecting "create filters".


Step 10 - Google Verification
Repeat the Google verification Process in step 5

You've now set up your email filters!
