Funding your Capitec Business Account 

Step 1: Precautionary Measure

  1. Once you have received your account details, we recommend making an initial transfer of R500 to your new account. This is a precautionary measure to ensure everything is functioning correctly and will cover your first Swift fee.
  2. This is, however, your choice and you can make the decision whether to send the R500 first or to send all your funds at once. 
  3. If you should chose to send the R500 and we give the go ahead, you can proceed with transferring the remainder of your funds. 

Step 2: Notify FX Rand 

  1. Notify FX Rand that you have funded your account.
  2. You will have to fill in two forms declaring that the funds that you have sent are your own and that they came from your account. With this you will have to send a bank statement as proof.
  3. If FX Rand requires additional information or documentation, they will contact you directly with specific requests. 

Step 3: You have completed the onboarding journey.

  1. Congratulations! You have completed the onboarding journey. You are now ready to initiate your first trade.
